#1. 1/125 sec. at f/5.6 (EI 800). No adjustments aside from inversion of the raw file from the scanner and then a minimal levels adjustment to clip the tone range to 0-100%.
#2. #1 again, but with a reverse S-curve adjustment added to reduce contrast and bring up the shadows.
#3. 1/125 sec. at f/4 (EI 400). Inversion and minimal 0-100% level clip as in #1, plus a brightness adjustment of -30% to match the bottom of the beer bottle to the bottle in #1.
#4. #3 again, with the addition of gamma 1.33 plus a tweak to the highlights.

In a dark, night-time setting -there's a tall antique lamp & short candles giving a woman's calm face angular light, and shadow. Her eyes are also calm & almost slitted, but are gazing towards the light from that nearly fully lit face. It's a scene of calm comfort, and quiet thought. Her head is rested upon a dark pillow; a shiny metal bulbous spire of an antique looking daybed frame is also visible alongside of the two small candles.
