cauliflower, purple broccoli and an awesome knife
harvested the cauliflower
so much cringe in that event poster it gives me cult vibes
Cauliflower plant with emerging florets
Closer view of the cauliflower plant
Planted this last year and finally a cauliflower is growing! Brassicas are so weird. Also, human rights are rights for all humans. #gardeningincanada
View from the seat of a bike with handlebars facing an urban road crossing
I mentioned to someone that I was glad I got to ride my bike to work today and they were surprised. Reasonable. Over my 1 hr bike ride numerous cars drove really close and really fast beside me on 'bike routes' #cycling #biking #Vancouver
happy day of trans visibility! I'm happy to know a bunch of fine folks who are trans. Check out comedian Patti Savard! She tells funny jokes and sings silly songs 💜 #transvisibility
broccoli-like brassica flower in garden
purple sprouting broccoli plant
small green leaves on tall stems of arugula plants in garden
we're into Spring 🌼🌱🌞💚 here in the temperature coastal rainforest of so-called Vancouver, although the air has been icy lately the birds are busy and so much is growing! overwintered garden veggies now: kale buds n flowers, purple sprouting broccoli and arugula #zone9a #gardening
4 story Afton Hotel with Ovaltine Cafe on the ground floor, an old brick building 1940s or earlier
Ovaltine Cafe, since 1942 in Vancouver, BC. Affordable diner and real vintage.
Across the street, we wait for any bus that comes to either of the two staggered bus stops. To do this one needs to lurk midway, watch for the bus# and then hustle #transit #translink #Vancouver
Skyscraper against a blue white cloud sky
Sky scraper, Surrey, BC, Canada. Seems... lonely
The issue is not whether we trust the US; it’s whether Canada exercises its own sovereignty to assess human rights risks. 🇨🇦⚖️
I’m urging all MPs to look at the facts and vote to close the arms export loophole this Wednesday.

black cat stretching in the sunshine on wooden porch
*correction, apparently this means daylight has been saved, permanently
bright full moon behind bare wintry tree branches
ooh full moon tonight. eclipsed moon not seen because clouds came
yay no more changing clocks in BC! you can't save daylight after all
posters on wall outside in with silhouettes of monster heads and text naming some U.S. rich people as those devils: Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen, Kurtis Yarvin, Alex Karp, Peter Theil, JD Vance
Outside posters listing current devils in the U.S. Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen, Kurtis Yarvin, Alex Karp, Peter Theil, JD Vance
'Hell is empty and all the devils are here' say these street posters in Vancouver, naming Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen, Kurtis Yarvin, Alex Karp, Peter Theil, JD Vance. Unfortunately I feel the list is a lot longer than this and maybe Vance sb baby devil #uspoli #cdnpoli #yvr #villainaires
Skyscrapers against blue sky in downtown Vancouver
Skyscrapers against blue sky, one with a mural up one side. Vancouver BC Canada
Alberni street in downtown Vancouver, I enjoyed this mural and mural reflection situation
a garage door painted as a scene from the 1964 book the Giving Tree, and beside it is a medium size unplanted conifer tree in a block of soil
Tree to give and The Giving Tree, side by side
View from a vehicle going over large cable-stayed bridge with blue skies and fluffy white clouds and nearby construction cranes
View from a vehicle going over large cable-stayed bridge with name stal̕əw̓asəm visible at mid span with blue skies and fluffy white clouds
Opening day for the stal̕əw̓asəm bridge, replacing the Puttullo bridge. The ole Puttullo was generally terrifying to walk, bike or drive over but had cool 1930s style
Just going to leave this here:

The more people that sign, the faster this becomes a thing the government has to deal with. Please. I beg of you, don't let this pass you by. Help us make sure Canada remains an accepting and open place for all.
Closes Feb 16th, 26.
My uncle says he's gonna watch his 60th Superbowl game today, which apparently is ALL of them, since 1966. I guess that's why it says LX, not a location or snack code
Icy frost patterns on the hood of a dark coloured car
Looking down at branching spreading frost patterns on a glass table with a dark hole in the middle for the shade umbrella, not present
ice, the cool kind
Looking down on an urban lake which is actually a water filled hole where a building once stood, with the reflection of leafless trees on the water, and a view of Vancouver's North Shore mountains in the background
the local urban pond is looking beautiful today. Former and future building site of Aaron Webster Co-op housing to be (re)built one of these years. Aaron was murdered 25 years ago by a group of young men. His neighbours renamed the co-op after him #Vancouver and also thetyee.ca/News/2011/11...
