Today I am in the chilly woods hiding from @fruitgal.bsky.social's and the rest of the MinnSARDA team's dogs, sipping hot coffee, and searching for mushrooms while my R code runs.
a lot of people are (rightfully) pointing out that this impacts research on women + POC but what they are also missing is that this also pulls money away from studies that look at socioeconomics as our society continues to move further into the oligarchy and punishes poverty and homelessness 😐

Nice balmy 8F (feels like -2F) weather for SAR training this morning. Who wouldn’t want to spend multiple hours hiding outside for dogs to come find them. Luckily we found some warm bonfires for the hiders to be next to enjoy 🥶
