Gorgeous! #SundayFishSketch

I think you captured it quite well but what a cool post!!
This is gorgeous!!
What a gorgeous shape!
A watercolor painting of a yellow fish facing to the left on a blue background. The fish has black spots and a sort of square-round shape
My #SundayFishSketch this week is a yellow boxfish, one of my favorite to paint because of their fun shape! Always good to practice depth with watercolors!
There is!! And the cards have fun fish facts! You’d love it!!
Also you’re so kind! I’ve missed ya’ll. It’s good to be back in the swing of things!
A watercolor painting of a sideview if a tropical fish facing to the left with red and white stripes. The fish is on a green background.
My #SundayFishSketch is a red emperor snapper inspired by the game Finspan!
It was really wholesome! I also learned that I cannot paint letters well 😂 People who can letter in paint are magicians to me!
A painting on a wall of an elongated fish facing to the left with green on top, orange in the middle of its body, and yellow on the bottom with orange and yellow fins.
My friends had a housewarming party and had us paint on their wall as part of it! So my #SundayFishSketch this week is a brook trout blessing the walls of Kate and Trey’s new home ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous! And you did such a good job capturing the sunlight
Thank you!! 😊
It definitely helped. I love seeing your paintings but be gentle with yourself. If you don’t have capacity right now, that’s okay!
Missed you both @greyauk.bsky.social and @betterknowafish.bsky.social ❤️ Good to be back, especially in such a heavy time
Watercolor painting of a side view of a fish facing to the right. The fish has a green top and an orange belly with green and orange fins.
Being from Minneapolis, these past few weeks have been especially heavy. I’ve been painting fish again to calm my nerves. Here is a tangerine darter in breeding colors for my first #SundayFishSketch in a while.
Whoops
This made me so happy ❤️ I love your art so much
If I remember correctly from my fishes class in undergrad, the only difference between a mimic shiner and a sand shiner was one anal fin ray, which made them absolute hell to differentiate 😭
Thank you!! 💜
A watercolor painting of an Arctic Char fish facing to the left of the page in orange and blue. The orange is mostly on the top and the blue is mostly on the bottom.
An arctic char for the #SciArtSeptember Borealis theme and a late #SundayFishSketch. I tried an experiment where I painted with only two colors.
An email we got from the University of Michigan Health: A message to our patient community Our health care teams share a commitment to meet the needs of our patients and our communities, and we work earnestly to provide compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence- based care to every person, every time. We are honored to have had the opportunity to provide comprehensive gender affirming care for our communities, and we are disappointed to share difficult news regarding this care for patients under age 19. In response to unprecedented legal and regulatory threats to our clinicians and our institution, we have made the difficult decision to stop prescribing puberty blockers and gender affirming hormones for patients under age 19.
So, not only is my kid's healthcare illegal for doctors to provide him in the state we live in, he can no longer be treated out of state and risks losing access to the evidence backed peer reviewed medication that has changed his life for the better because we are ruled by monsters and cowards
Sending so much love to you and your loved one 💜
Thank you!! I made it home safely!
The colors are so stunning!
This ray looks so cute and friendly!
These are so cute! I bet they would make an incredible fabric pattern!
Light blue pen sketch of a dorsal view of a zebra shark outlined in dark blue ink. The shading is cross hatched. The shark is swimming downwards on the page.
Quick #SundayFishSketch of a zebra shark at the airport. These endangered friends are nocturnal and hunt and feed mostly on crustaceans, mollusks, and small boney fishes
A gorgeous blob sculpin! It makes me so sad how that one photo of them went viral and that’s how they’re portrayed now, so it makes me happy to see art where they are given back their dignity!
Incredible!! I love these!
Decline of whitefish in Lake Michigan sparks fears that the fish might disappear
