Having vets on your team allows players to be mentored and not be dependent on their employer to navigate being a professional athlete. You’re deliberately creating a dynamic where young players are dependent on the team, with no outside voice to say “they’re taking advantage of you” if you are.

I’m sorry but this is so dumb and selfish. You’re risking these young players careers for an illusion of team stability that just doesn’t exist in the #WNBA. Not to mention the risk of injury - they will be going up against grown women with 8 - 10 years of being in the weight room every weekz
