Our department at Genentech is hiring. We're looking for a freshly-minted PhD (0-3 years) protein biochemist / structural biologist to join as a Sr Scientist. A rare opportunity to join our group leader job family at a more junior level than we usually hire.

Check out our preprint! With new molecular mechanisms, 140 subtomogram averages, and ~600 annotated cells under different conditions, we @embl.org were able to describe bacterial populations with in-cell #cryoET. And there’s a surprise at the end 🕵️

Impressive! Congrats Joe!
Thanks to all who attended the #BPS2025 #cryoem symposium yesterday, and the happy hour last night!
We heard some superb science at the symposium and had some great discussions which were continued in the evening.
And congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Wright, our inaugural Almeida Award winner!
Interested in learning to process cryo-ET data in the latest version of Warp? I'll be running a workshop on April 22nd in central London, UK

Hope to see you there!
My colleague Xiao Tao is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to work at Genentech on membrane protein structure & function, in close collaboration with our #cryoEM team. If you love membrane proteins and playing with the latest tech, please consider this opportunity!
