Last year, Lightning Dodrio with Big Basics took down the Prop 15/3 (Base-Gym) TCGOne mega battle. Earlier this year, the same deck got 2nd and 3rd in the Vintage booster battle.

I am mostly building to grid draft but am meaning to try housman for some hidden info (or to push synergy).

Grid draft is really nice when not familiar with cardpool: can take a pic of oppo pool before building! I could see OP burn draft be fun when pool is more focused on limited-like gameplay.

Trying to find an old standard mtg deck with Shared Discovery and Beastmaster Ascension to no avail.

I think a lot of that era of #mtg content has rotted away😭 the mtgo event deck database getting thrown away was a big sadness.

Wrote a quick intro to WotC GLC (Gym Leader Challenge for Base-Skyridge Pokemon TCG). Format didn't exist in 2003, but it could've! It's a great way to enjoy playing with many Mon that are not viable in more widely played retro formats.
