#repostyourart day 9: light(house)

This is super old, from October 2023! I’ve sold a ton of prints of this one until I retired it from the shop last year. You can literally see how much
I’ve improved :) but I still love it!

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are sitting with their backs towards each other, looking into opposite directions. Blue looks exhausted and annoyed, while Green is frowning with angry thoughts.
Green, thinking: I can't be expected to know what you're mad about unless you tell me. What could you even be mad about? If I ask your opinion and you don't tell me the truth, that's on you!

Green still continues to think, but raises an eyebrow as Blue turns around to kiss his neck affectionately.

Green, speaking out loud: Aren't you mad at me?

Blue, suddenly not weary at all but deeply baffled, looks at Green in confusion, while Green looks just as bewildered.
Blue: What on earth would I be mad at you for?
Green: I have no idea!

Reasons to own a cloak of moss:
- super stylish
- all natural
- absorbs rain
- good camouflage
- can blend in with moss goblins, and start a new life in the old forest as a twig witch or world weary hermit

"Life's easier when you can write off others as monsters, as demons, as horrible threats that must be hated and feared. The thing is, you can't do that without becoming them, just a little."

A photo of four library books stacked on a shelf in front of a tidy row of more books. The library books from top to bottom are: "Foundation and Earth" by Isaac Asimov, "Alien Clay" by Adrian Tchaikovsky, "Sorcery and Small Magics" by Maiga Doogy, and "Who's Afraid of Gender?" by Judith Butler.

Today was library day! Tchaikovsky's back—I didn't get to him last time. Asimov's here on probation ("Foundation's Edge" annoyed me).

Sometimes the Cormorant is black in colour. At other times, brown or with a hint of indigo. If lucky, you will see all of these colours at the same time. Then, there is the structure of the feathers. A cormorant. #UKWildlife #BirdOfTheDay #Feathers #Birds #Photography #ECK #WildlifePhotography

The cover of T.J. Klune's cozy fantasy novel "The House in the Cerulean Sea" as illustrated by Red Nose Studio: a red brick house with a turret rising above its roof and a detached guest house tucked into its shadow sits upon the very edge of a whimsical island cliff stretching out over the titular cerulean sea. A rounded Volkswagon van waits at a precarious angle in the zigzagging drive, beside trees bowed almost double from long years in the coastal winds. Sunset, or perhaps sunrise, paints the oceanic horizon with golden warmth and streaks the clouds above magenta and violet.

Today's book: "Foundation's Edge" (Foundation, Book 4) by Isaac Asimov

My local library now has all of the Foundation books! I've already started this one, and find myself missing the Encyclopedia entries (and the Michael Whelan covers). Ah, well. Onwards!

I can't imagine there's anything controversial in a rundown on how dialogue and sound effects were recorded for a 1960's TV show (at least those seem to be the missing topics, going by the chapter's concluding summary). My best guess is it was torn out for a photo or donated to the library damaged.

I get to tell the librarian about another damaged library book. Boldly going through William Shatner and Chris Kreski's "Star Trek Memories" and a whole page—page 181/182—has been torn out.

Maybe let's not tear out pages of library books.

The cover of Ursula K. Le Guin's speculative science fiction novel "The Dispossessed" as illustrated by Muhammad Fatchurofi: two planets—a red and yellow, and a blue and white—orbit in tandem in a great starry expanse; lines of matching color sweep out from each planet like radio waves; and where they meet a figure stands divided, one face toward the people of his home planet and one toward the people of his neighboring planet, faces alternating blue and red, yet within himself he stands small, blue and white like the righthand planet.

Some advice:
Be kind.
Collect books, not enemies.
Leave the world a better place.
Stay on the good side of the old gods and you will forever find peace in the mossy dark places of the world.

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue approaches a mysterious pile of blankets that is almost as tall as a fox.
Blue: Green? What's this blanket pile here?

Blue sits down to study the blanket pile more closely as Green's voice is audilbe from within.
Green, unseen from the blanket pile: It's me.
Blue: Are you cold?
Green: Not anymore.
Blue: Okay. Do you need anything?
Green: Get in here.
