Women in support of the trans+ community - Not in our name

We want the media and politicians to recognise that there is a large number of women who are supportive of the trans+ community. We call on them to report truthfully about the sources of violence against women and to address the systems that perpetuate harm. notinourname.org.uk/petition/not...

A Letter To My Younger Self (Before I knew I was #Autistic)

Dear younger me,

I am writing to you from 20 years in the future. I know things are tough right now, but you will get through it. I know you won’t believe me, but everything really is going to be ok...

Autistic Parents UK - New Blog Article: Monotropism as an Autistic Parent

New Blog Post: Monotropism as an Autistic Parent

Monotropism is a neurodiversity-affirming theory of autism, developed by Autistic people, that explains many common Autistic experiences. Parenting as a monotropic Autistic person brings both challenges and strengths.

It’s Not Just You: Why Autistic Parents Deserve Sensory Support – and a Sensory Village Caring for young children can cause sensory overstimulation. This can be challenging for parents, and even more so for Autistic parents who may have heightened sensitivity. Building a ‘village’ to support ourselves and our children can help make sure everyone’s needs are met and enable our families to thrive.

I just voted against proscribing Palestine Action, a civil disobedience group, as a terrorist organisation. But I'm furious that in doing so, the government forced me and others to vote against proscribing two other clearly terrorist groups. Cynical and dangerous from govt.

I just want to make an observation. The biggest LGBTQIA+ mass lobby in history in the UK was organised by a Trans+ led org. With minimal funding. And a heap of volunteer energy. There are much more well funded LGBTQIA+ orgs that haven’t stepped up with this level of ambition.

If the disability cuts were cruel and callous for existing claimants, they’re cruel and callous for future claimants too. This 2 tier system would be totally unacceptable - Labour rebels must stay firm

On LBC @zoejardiniere.bsky.social lists 3 previous instances where military aircraft have been targeted by campaigners in order to prevent them being used in war crimes, and she describes the govt banning Palestine Action as terrorists as an abuse of state power.

Well said.

If there's one thing in the year 2025 that needs to die, it's the "you have to resolve this customer service issue over the phone".

We live in a world where email and instant messaging exists, but I still have to endure telephone anxiety? Fuck that

That autistic thing where you have an amazingly productive morning because every task on your to-do list seems highly compelling compared to that one phone call you need to make.

This by @elsawilliams.bsky.social is a really important read, and absolute respect for writing it. If you haven't had an eating disorder or mental health issue then you don't understand what it is like to go through them. If you think people can access PIP easily, you don't know enough to comment.

We're bringing a legal challenge to the EHRC’s ‘Interim Update’ A number of trans and intersex individuals have today begun a legal challenge to the EHRC’s ‘Interim Update’ following the For Women, Scotland decision

Along with a man and a woman who are trans, and someone who is intersex, we are suing the EHRC and the Equalities Minister in respect of the disgraceful and unlawful EHRC guidance.

In line with our transparency principles we are publishing the full 32 page legal letter. goodlaw.social/2ihj
