A #Crew96 vs LA Galaxy game on a Wednesday was sure to have this happen.
So the hardliners are still in charge in Iran, for all we know they could still be enriching uranium, AND a vital waterway that was open and free 6 months ago now costs $$ to pass through AND must be meticulously de-mined. What was this war for again?
I also am on this blocklist. Congrats to my fellow comrades.

Thankfully, Real Sociedad didn't, and the rest is history.

The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.
@morganhughes.bsky.social better be wearing a Mendoza jersey today.
#Crew96

The NWSL called and Columbus answered 📞
Columbus joins the league as team No. 18!

It's official: Columbus will join the NWSL in 2028!
(The only time the Columbus Crew organization mentions or allows the mentioning of #SaveTheCrew is when they’re trying to profit off of it.)

Batted out a quick, newsy version of The Crewcible this morning with @morganhughes.bsky.social
The deal is done. The sausage is difficult to digest.

BREAKING: The #NWSL is officially headed to Columbus, Ohio. Ownership led by the Haslam Sports Group gets team No. 18 for a $205 million expansion fee, an(other) NWSL record. ~Five years ago, that fee was $2 million. They kick off in 20228 with Atlanta.
In solidarity with our Cascadia family, Nordecke will be displaying and chanting #SaveTheCaps at minute 19 and 73 during Wednesday’s match. Nordecke will never forget the overwhelming love and support during Save The Crew. We urge all soccer fans to answer this call, yet again, to #SaveTheCaps.
The NWSL has agreed to add an 18th team in Columbus, Ohio, owned by Haslam Sports Group
The group has agreed to pay a record $205 million expansion fee, per @sportico.bsky.social

Not sure what’s going on today but it looks intriguing.
“What are you in for?”
“Felony bralessness”
Ngl I felt pretty great when the supporters removed the Sweet Dee banner.
I’m super likely to be a season ticket holder. We travelled to France to see the 2019 World Cup.
I hate that we are giving any public money to these rich ass holes holding a campaign fundraiser for another rich ass hole this week.
I promise to not shut up about the need for the park they took.
Here is the good news, I am really looking forward to the Haslams encountering the significantly more leftist politics of players and fans than they are used to seeing.
If you want to get their attention, touting the benefits of a public park are unlikely to do it.
Ice Cold Take: commissioner Jessica Berman and the NWSL owners do not seem like the type of people who care about the costs of removing a public park vs. the benefits of an expansion team check.
These are the same people who did the Unwell FC stuff and allowed toxic coaches to job surf.
A source who knows confirms that this will be the announcement of a Columbus NWSL expansion team.
NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman is in Columbus for a "major soccer announcement" today. More on what we know below.
www.dispatch.com/story/sports...
The Columbus Crew are touting "a major announcement on the future of soccer in Columbus" for today at 3:30 p.m.
Jessica Berman, Whitney Haslam Johnson of the Crew's ownership, and Columbus' mayor and city council president will be among the dignitaries.
They need more locker rooms, especially since there are girls teams in an academy too.
