Calling all Professors of Religion! Do you teach an intro to the study of religion course? If so, would you be willing to share your syllabus? Collecting for research purposes.
Just emailed it to you
The brilliance of the timing here is I can see this being an April Fool's prank AND I can see it actually happening...
I know this has circulated with alacrity recently, so you may have already seen it, but if you haven't... WOW BOY HOWDY it's the most useful thing.
Thank you cardcatalogforlife.substack.com -- this is a very very very helpful public service:

Back from a week in the mountains. It's going to be a multi-cup of coffee day.
After closing freelance projects for a month, I'm about to re-open spots for the year. Let's see those #books, #dissertations, #articles! (Copyediting, language correction, proofreading, typesetting, indexing available)
Father of a 13-year-old. Yes. And if someone is cooking, you need to "Let them cook."
The lighting is stunning!
This is Aly. She just learned about capitalism. Certainly not a perfect system, but if that is what it takes to put chippies on the table, she understands. 13/10 (IG: alythebichon)

I finally heard back from the publisher on this indexing question. They said the same. Thank you for being an outside verification. I appreciate it!
Indexing question: if a verse gets cited in the text only as "In v. 4, ....", should that be included in the Scripture index? From the context, you can tell what chapter it comes from, but it's not listed in the text as 1:4. The SBL Handbook does not address this very niche question.

Soon after I heard of Ray's passing yesterday and many tears fell, I thought of people who would be grieved because they had been so impacted by his life. You and Tim Mackie were at the top of that list.
Like you, I cannot quantify just how much Ray impacted me.
May God comfort us as we grieve.
Just finished reading Nobody's Mother by @sandraglahn.bsky.social. What a compelling argument steeped in primary sources! It grounds Paul's letter to Timothy in their reality and helps me understand mine.
