Adding some juice to my player sprite. Now he has a little engine on his back, legs that sway as he moves, and a nicer muzzle-flash effect. #picotron

Film Victoria (now VicScreen) allowed me to do that for about 5 years. They funded my weird, non-commercial games and I'm so grateful for that.

Document what you did and request individual marking. Don't let their laziness drag down your mark.

Just got this, it's great. Good recommendation.

If land prices became too high, and demand increased greatly, building them on the seafloor or in the arctic would be more appealing than in space. At least then you get the benefit of cheap cooling.

With something like a telescope or communications satellite, there are direct advantages to being in space, so the cost is worth it. But the important factors for a datacenter - low latency, easy to maintain, easy to upgrade; All those criteria are worse AND more expensive in space.

Do you think there are any advantages to putting a datacenter in space? Advantages so great that they aren't offset by the enormous cost compared to building them on earth.

Mario says both.

Opinion: Trump Accepts Bribe Offer From Putin Trump’s Board of Peace, which solicits funds from foreign governments, clearly violates the US Constitution, as it amounts to a long-prohibited emolument.

My op ed, “Trump accepts bribe offer from Putin” was just published in the Kyiv Post.

When are Americans going to realize you can't stop fascists by protesting or recording them on your phone. You have to shoot back.

They're not going to push back if they're getting rich too.

Maybe have them apply a pushing force against each other when they're close, like electrical repulsion.

Picotron now has Splore! This is a built in game browser that lets you easily download and run games from the forum - and view their source code 💾

How are you editing the tracks, are they polygons made in Blender or do you have some kind of spline definition?

What did you do, wrong aspect ratio or framerate?

But it inconveniences everyone, because social media apps and websites now have to pretend to check everyone's age. So these lazy parents didn't just ruin their own children, they ruined the internet for everyone. So next time you see a parent hand their crying baby a phone, recognize what they did.

These parents are baffled - "Why does my kid never talk to me, why are they addicted to their phone?". Their solution is to ask the government to ban social media for young teenagers. This 'ban' has no actual effect, other than allowing these parents to say "get off your phone, that's banned!"

In 2010, Australian parents realized that when their new baby is bored, in a restaurant or on a road trip, they don't have to entertain the kid, or interact with it at all. They can just give the kid their phone and it will be quiet for hours and hours. 15 years later - social media ban.

The whole thing is a farce to get votes from lazy, tech-illiterate parents (which is most parents). It cannot work, nobody expects it to work, and the people it inconveniences don't vote for Labor or the Liberals anyway.

All the tech companies know that accurate age verification is impossible without breaching privacy, so they're doing the minimum possible to comply with the request.

I made a photography table so I can take better photos of my miniatures. It's designed to work with natural light from a window. It uses A2 mounting board, some PVC piping, and 3D printed brackets. Reflective panels on the side provide fill lighting. www.thingiverse.com/thing:7192488
