But if it were closer to the new annual charge, I'd be pretty upset.
And then, couldn't what D2D owe you, Vis a Vis what you owe D2D, cancel each other out? Like a statement of checks and balances?

As I've already mentioned, I'm currently sticking with #Draft2Digital because of the ease of use, multiple platforms & the opportunities for discovery & reviews, particularly via promotions, such as on #Smashwords.
However I do think it's fair to have some give as well as take.⚖️

🤔 I'd like #Draft2Digital to review minimum payment thresholds. US authors now risk paying a significant $41.99 to D2D before seeing ANY royalties, while for international authors it's $51.99! $20 setup+$12 annually+$19.99 payment threshold.

Sometimes, when I'm editing, I like to imagine I'm suggesting edits for a writer friend who's asked me to take a look at their draft. I find it just helps to step back a little.
😲 Now hastily crafting a warning to insert in my own upcoming first person novel.
I'm thinking along the lines of:
WARNING ⚠️
To avoid the danger of character impersonation syndrome, keep this book away from readers unable to distinguish fiction from reality.
