finished a pair of socks from a pattern my bestie wrote today

the stitches to pick them back up. i was already having a rough day and this was just the final straw and i ripped out the entire sock and started again. i keep reminding myself it’s okay to have these moments, but to also be gentle on myself. maybe you need this reminder too 💙💙💙

when life is tough i turn to my knitting. sometimes this means my anger, fear, whatever other negative emotions get taken out on the yarn. this was almost a full sock about a week ago and then i accidentally pulled the needles out of about 10 stitches and in that moment i didn’t have a light to see

i just counted all the little squares i have finished for my battenberg blanket so far. how many do you think i have finished so far?

we don’t put full feet pictures on the internet for free here. but i’m channeling some spring time feels even though it’s only 38 degrees outside. i got these birks for christmas to wear with my handknit socks but i don’t have any socks currently accessible and i needed a happy today.
