Had a lovely visit this beautiful morning. Ended up parking in a quiet spot in Aston Turrold and walking in from the opposite direction as you.

The Iron Age earthworks of Dyke Hills are nearby too.

There's also the lovely St Peter's Church in Little Wittenham and Day's Lock on the Thames. And, upstream, the confluence with the River Thame (sic). 🤯

Quarley Hill in Hampshire has an Iron Age univallate hillfort.

A rather cloudy Sunday morning last w/e. But on a fine day *would* provide lovely sunny views. 😁

There's a layby and footpath to the south, but the actual hillfort is on private land.
