Datacenters gebruiken enorm veel stroom: wat kost het en wat levert het op? De grootste datacenters gebruiken bijna net zoveel stroom als een kwart van alle woningen, en dat gaat alleen nog maar groeien verwacht de landelijke netbeheerder Tennet.

Nederland telt bijna 200 datacenters. Vorig jaar gebruikten zij 4,6 procent van alle elektriciteit in Nederland. Tennet denkt dat de vraag naar elektriciteit van datacenters de komende jaren minstens verdubbelt naar 10 tot 15 procent van het totale stroomverbruik in 2030.

Had a similar experience at the Brussels study day where I presented our work. The QRs used by colleagues also contained with links to publications, questionnaires, project sites...). I had so far only used it for extra material on a poster, but am now also contemplating a wider use.

Absolutely. As an online participant, I feel at the same time motivated and discouraged to participate next year after watching this :-) (and feeling hungry too... 😋)

Great to be able attend #LboroCADay2025 online but the disadvantage is one misses out on the legendary CAkeOff. Luckily, there are weekend leftovers to somewhat compensate.
