Two massive deep pink tree peony flowers, with fading pink and red camellia bushes beyond.
Cascading white pearlbush flowers.
The first tree peonies are OUT. But the pearlbush has been at it for a week. ๐ฑ
Vaccinate. Vaccinate. Vaccinate. I've also lost a child due to lowering of community immunity to a preventable but killer disease. Bloody vaccinate. Only selfish people don't.

Rebel Women Between the Wars by Sarah Lonsdale
๐ถ Happy Paperback Publication Day to me...๐ถ ๐ต
Delighted to report that Wildly Different: Five Women who Reclaimed Nature in a Manโs World, and Rebel women between the wars: Breaking Boundaries 1918-1939 are both out between beautiful soft covers today. Thank you @manchesterup.bsky.social
That is awful.
When you use AI to do your writing, you are telling your audience: โI deserve your attention, but you do not deserve my effort.โ
'Bell removed Romeo and Juliet from his syllabus because โin Act III, Romeo and Juliet have sex, and that falls under this very broadly defined sexuality [topics ban].โ He also didnโt teach about Joan of Arc this semester.'
What an actual lack of freedom of speech looks like in universities. 3/3
Seven wine glasses holding sedum cuttings to dry out and grow new roots in the air before potting them up.
Growing new roots from air and the ghosts of drinks long past for these sedum cuttings before potting them up. ๐ฑ๐ต
Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so Iโm gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.
Confused use of the word 'convinced' to persuade you that a higher power is in charge of your destiny. Hope you walked away decisively.
I heard about this at Eastercon but couldn't find the pod in my feed and forgot about it. So I've just now searched again for *ursula le guin podcast* and it was found. Thank you! feeds.libsyn.com/608015/rss
A small realistic story. Not much more than 500 words.

Went to visit my favourite tree couple this morning. โค๏ธ๐ชพ
Anne McCaffrey To Ride Pegasus and its sequel Pegasus in Flight. Also The Rowan and its sequels.
Yellow and tulips splaying their petals in the sun.
This is what happens when you don't label your bulbs after lifting. Yellow overblown tulips with one pink pointy one and three white with purple streaks.
Big egg-yolk yellow tulips and a couple of stray pink chaps. Note the stalk ends where the squirrels bit the heads off.
Pale lilac tulips with yellow centres.

Tremendously depressing read. Also: proper reporting.

BGA is down. Another DDoS?
#showmeyourknits I knitted a block colour plain rib scarf in random Noro Silk Garden Sock balls of yarn my daughter brought back from Japan. Not quite long enough so I bought a single ball in a delightfully clashing green to knit onto the end. ๐งถ
An economic basis for a sustainable dragon population.
It shows you're doing the right thing if the bad guys want to stop you. More power to your efforts!
You could see posts? What blessed privilege ...
We have vertical feeding tubes only. The crows, magpies and pigeons would dominate any bird table!
Oh horrible! The vaccinations for it knock me for six too.
Pear trees in blossom
Apple bough with blossom.
Fruit blossom, ever hopeful.๐ฑ๐ณ๐๐
These pics have annoyed me for at least 15 hours. Where are their sunbonnets? Why is Mr Ingalls displaying so much chest hair? Why do those dresses look untorn and ungrubby? Because this is a conservative tradwife fantasy. I also didn't like the 1970s version.

The Glover Family.
Interesting. I'll send that info back to He Who Orders Bird Food.
Yes, that's definitely what we don't want to happen.
