What I learned:

Spray with hydrogen peroxide.
Dab up as much loose blood that comes up as possible.
Scrub with an ammonia/water solution.
Scrub with plain water.
Cover with paper towels.
If the towels still come up red, repeat.

I'm finally finished cleaning up all of the blood from the carpets and rug! :)

That was a chore.

Bailey seems better, thankfully.

I'm having to keep an eye on her stools, as a couple of them were completely black from blood.

Two bottles of doggy medicine, Pimobendan and Furosemide.

Bailey and the update for today (03/23).

Heart medicine just arrived, and she has had her first dose.

There was one cough all weekend. That is far better than it has been in recent weeks. :)

She is also still eating much more of her food. :)

The vet had quoted me $230 a month for the heart meds. I've managed to source them a little cheaper with a generic brand.

The Cushing Disease medicine she will likely need will be another $100. My good friend Ryan is already seeing improvement in his doggy, who is on those meds.

Today, she is at Banfield Pet Hospital having her all-day Cushing's Disease tests.

It was heartbreaking to see at the weigh-in that she has now lost 18 lbs.! :(

I had already ordered her first month of heart meds before the fundraiser, and they should be here tomorrow or Monday.

First of all, thank you. I was embarrassed to start this, but you have shown such kindness and generosity. I'm overwhelmed. Clearly, Bailey has touched many people, and you care so much. It has touched me deeply.
