An advocate for science and evidence-based policy, she strengthened Canada’s research ecosystem as Minister of Science and championed SCN.

Her contributions to Canada’s science community will be remembered.

As far as I can tell, no increase in funding for either mechanism - so straining lots of systems. My point was less US funding affects other countries funding as well.

We are already seeing this in Canada and Europe - I review for NSERC and Horizon2020 - both have record numbers of applications
