Last month was quite fruitful in case of exchanging ideas: I gave a seminar at Charles Sadron Institute to connect with @stelorg.bsky.social consortium and later i gave a talk at German Zeolite Conference #DZT2026 to disseminate our findings from MacroPiN funded by #MSCA @ec.europa.eu

We are pleased to welcome @Hakan Bildirir for his seminar on "On-target Syntheses of Porous Polymers for Various Energy and Environmental Applications" (6th February - 11 am- Amphitheatre of ICS) and a tour of STELORG's lab. www.ics-cnrs.unistra.fr/event-279-On...
Finally out! Our recent work on organic #batteries found its place in @jmaterchem.rsc.org A
We investigated the effect of crosslinking/surface area to the electrochemical energy storage performances. #openaccess #chemsky

I finally started my new position as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at IS2M @cnrs.fr in Mulhouse. I am -professionally- quite excited for the future developments during the course of the project, and also -personally- moved by adding France to my "list of residencies" in Europe : ) #chemsky
Very exciting to see our "Retrospective Review on Reticular Materials" online, packing lots of interesting stats to understand how far the field has come, and to envision its even brighter future! #MOFs #COFs privileged to have worked with such a fantastic team 🌟
Thank you very much!
Thanks Kasper!!
As the European Commission just opened this year's call, it seems a good opportunity to announce that I will be moving to France to join @cnrs.fr IS2M Mulhouse in September thanks to the funding from last year's Marie Skłodowska-Curie PF call #MSCA #chemsky
Well, as we all know, the numbers are important to get funding.
And, the post helps to increase their "article views" number. Next time better put a screenshot 😄
I am glad to be named as an outstanding reviewer by @jmaterchem.rsc.org C. I try to contribute as much as possible to the peer-review system, and it is very enjoyable when I do it for high-quality journals such as the ones from @rsc.org #chemsky

Dyna Robotics has a new robot foundation, and it's something else. 99.4% success rate on 24 hours of napkin folding with no interventions. Not a flashy task, but that's what real, useful robotics has to look like
PS. The street lights near our flat, which were just powered before the buildings, gave me the heads-up for the video.
On 28.04, there was almost a 10-hour #power #outage in #Spain and neighboring countries. It reminded us how #electricity is essential for our daily lives. As a scientist working on energy related topics, it was an additional motivation. Here's the video I shot just before the power came back
We are delighted that the Interest Group is offering bursaries to early career researchers to attend the UK Porous Materials Conference in Birmingham.
Further information and to apply, please see our website: www.ukpormat.com/bursaries
Deadline for bursary applications is Tuesday 15th May.
Last week, I attended #MatSUS25 spring conference in Sevilla.
I presented a poster on Tuesday for #SusOrg and gave a talk on Wednesday for #SusBatT symposiums.
It was a great experience with an intense schedule (overlapped with #RSCposter), and also was nice to catch up with old colleagues/friends
My colleague, Nagaraj Patil from IMDEA Energia is giving insights on Aqueous Zinc-based energy storage systems #MatSus25 spring
We are on the same symposium #SusBatT and my talk is at 12:30 which is about organic electrode materials, stop by if you are around #chemsky
The @rsc.org Journal of Materials Chemistry is now on Bluesky, @jmaterchem.rsc.org great place for reading and publishing your favourite materials chemistry research :-)
please share and follow!!
Aside from the electrochemical energy storage, i will also present our latest results on n-doping of porous polymers and its effects on photocurrents in another symposium at #MatSus2025 see this article:
doi.org/10.1002/smll...
I will be attending #MatSus2025 spring conference next month, and give a talk on our latest results from the use of porous polymers in electrochemical energy storage. Stop by if you are around.
Check the program and abstracts from here:

It seems the increase in the number of high-impact journals owned by Chinese societies will continue.

Looks quite interesting!
We are happy to support Juan de la Cierva applications (2 year contract) for postdoctoral researchers who have completed their PhD in 2023 or 2024. Paula got one in the last call! Contact me if you are interested in applying to join our group at #CiQUS (deadine 17 Jan)

Developing high performance organic electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage systems is one of our aims at IMDEA Energy. Here is an example of our recent work on syntheses of a low-cost and highly durable p-type polymer used in lithium half cells #chemsky
