This is neat. I haven’t had a chance to go through it in detail yet, but it looks like you’re using PyMC + Plotnine? I’ve been exploring similar integrations myself. Are you using any existing libraries, or is most of it custom tooling?

Another day, another stupid Excel chart.
This is cool, I liked the interactive sliders to see how the prior is constructed.

It’s a “Rob Lowe NFL hat” kind of day for me
Updated my bookmark, is this one supposed to be titled with brms instead of rstan?
Love the work, this helped me so much to supplement the text and continues to be a great resource.

Yes I got a trackball mouse, no it’s not for ergonomics
I wasn’t either until I did a big change a couple years ago in the fall. After getting through the holidays it was very much like “if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball”.
But I agree with atypical starts, and spring makes a lot of sense
Glad you like the fridge, we‘ve been looking at that line too.

The chart shows NFL team logos. Their position corresponds to the current probability that the team will make the playoffs this year. Comets go from the logos to the right and left. Their final position corresponds to the probability that the respective team will make the playoffs if it wins or loses in the current week. At the end of the comets are the probabilities in percent. The probabilities are based on 50,000 simulations of the remaining NFL season.
-- WEEK 12 #NFL 🏈 Playoff Leverage --
Here you can see
1.) how the playoff probability of each team changes depending on whether they win or lose the next game, and
2.) the combined playoff leverage of the teams involved in each game, sorted by kickoff time.

Automatically generated dplyr code that matches the filtering and arranging that I did by clicking on columns in the data viewer
oooh new version of Positron just released and it has (1) github copilot chat and (2) automatic {dplyr} code generation based on filtering/sorting/etc that you do in the data viewer #rstats
Also gained a tremendous amount of respect for people that do flooring
We bought our house a couple years ago and took on replacing floors by ourselves. I spent the entire time I budgeted for the project simply removing staples from the mix of wood and carpet upstairs. will never take that on again lol
A drawing of two clusters one cluster has a blonde girl with a ponytail in it, and the other cluster has a redhead a blonde and a brunette. This represents the scene and mean girls where Gretchen tells Regina George “you can’t sit with us!”

At the start of a new season, there is a particularly high interest in the update schedule for nflverse data.
We have a dedicated website where you can view the status of the automated pipelines and obtain information about the schedules.
