They support water trucking for nutrition centres & nearby communities to ensure to safe water. Additionally community baking ovens enable families to bake fresh bread & other baked products.

Three nutrition centres they support are screening people for moderate & acute malnutrition, providing treatment, and awareness and counselling sessions.
Our member @peopleinneed.bsky.social together with Alliance2015 partners @welthungerhilfe.bsky.social and @FondazioneCESVI, local partner @Juzoor & @CzechMFA and with SOS Gaza Emergency Appeal funds they work to prevent malnutrition and strengthen food security for communities in #Gaza.
Almost 250k children and 37k pregnant & lactating women in #Gaza are projected to suffer acute malnutrition and require treatment in 2026.
The humanitarian situation in #Gaza remains fraught despite the ceasefire. Although food availability has improved, prices remain high, & with 80 percent unemployment most families cannot afford enough food.
In Tigray, recovery is about more than aid, it’s about restoring dignity 🌍
At AidEx, Helvetas shared how layered support, from cash assistance to repairing trail bridges, is helping communities rebuild livelihoods and resilience after conflict 🌱🤝

These shelters have become community hubs, helping residents reconnect and support one another 🤝.
Local volunteer groups continue to evacuate elderly and low-mobility residents from high-risk areas, often at significant personal risk 🚨.
Through JERU — a partnership between Alliance2015 members @concernworldwide.bsky.social and Welthungerhilfe — underground shelters are being renovated to:
🔹 Improve hygiene and safety
🔹 Provide beds for elderly residents
🔹 Create safe spaces for children
Resilience and Recovery in Izium 🇺🇦
Izium, eastern Ukraine, was under Russian occupation in 2022. Nearly half of its pre-war population has not returned, and the front line remains just 40km away.

Five years into the full-scale war, young people in Ukraine’s Sumy region face shrinking job opportunities, energy insecurity, and constant uncertainty.

Millions of civilians continue to face attacks, displacement, and the destruction of homes, schools, and hospitals. Children, women, and older people are the most affected.
