A large fire to the east continues to burn. With wind changes my last couple of days have just been filled with a haze of smoke in the air.

We’ll continue to battle though. And in the end we’ll all come together in the true Aussie way.

Hopefully a final update for this summer.
All nearby fires have either been controlled or they’ve moved on. No threats to me currently.
Neighbouring towns have lost homes though, absolutely devastated for the small communities.
I hope they won’t be affected!
Today will be a battle for getting fires under control but we have to hope a cool change on the weekend will assist our fighters 🙏 fingers crossed

A new fire has started much closer to my town, about 40km’s west.
Winds pushing it south east though but will be one to watch.
Wind is absolutely punishing us today.
Multiple fires have started across the state.
The cold change on the weekend cannot come quick enough 🤞

I should be ok where I am. It’s just very heartbreaking to hear the growing list of towns nearby being told to evacuate.
And they’re all very small communities, will be devastating for them if they lose everything.
Can only hope for a miracle that tomorrow won’t be as bad as they’re predicting
