I'm disappointed it didn't recommend you to you. I wonder if it's actively trying to identify authors too...

And the prizes keep rolling in for my counterpart - latest on the L&L blog, Dr Giordana Franceschini wins a research award from the Associazione Internazionale di Studi Tardoantichi for her thesis!
I’ve put together a list of funding sources for graduate students in biblical studies and early Christianity. Most of these are only available to students in the U.S. but many of them don’t have citizenship requirements. docs.google.com/document/d/1...
I'm sorry you had to endure it! I used to live in York and it was a surprise when a TPE arrived on time! They're better now but definitely not going to win awards for arriving on time or at all.
Would definitely recommend Leeds airport! There's a good bus service and the taxis aren't too bad, especially if you find another medievalist to share with. Plus, you're not reliant on the TransPennine Express to M- a train so unreliable it got nationalised but still often gets delayed or cancelled.

Come for Aleksander's paper, stay for my first paper from "Land & Loyalty: the politics of land in the later Roman world" @staclassics.bsky.social, on why female grant recipients aren't mysterious exceptions but central to understanding late Roman land grants. research.st-andrews.ac.uk/landloyalty/
I am very much looking forward to this workshop at which I am speaking in Bonn in November, organised among others by @akjp89.bsky.social, and funded partly by @dependencybonn.de
The Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies is hiring three postdoctoral researchers.
We investigate the causes and mechanisms that contribute to the persistence of strong asymmetrical dependencies across historical and contemporary contexts.
Pre-modern perspectives are very welcome!
