Y'all! PBS have a streaming app and they have episode of Check Please! Bay Area on there. F'ing love this show.
Where did you live in central CA?
Yeah I've gone to LA a few times for shows when I was younger but now I'm like meh. If they're not playing within a 10 mile radius it's not gonna happen π
Riiight? There's an LA show. But nothing up this way.
I really don't know how I feel about it for all the things that didn't land there were equally as many aspects of it that did so it's kind of a wash.
Watched To Live & Die in LA . It was a coked up fever dream noir which, fun, but the script was horrible, no character development at all, dialogue was clichΓ© at best but it had a vibe, I didn't dislike. It was like an impressionist painting of a noir film filtered through a very 80's sensibility.

Kathy Acker - BOTD in 1944
yeah we hella need the ability to edit our posts
Kathy Acker, USA experimental novelist, playwright, essayist & postmodernist writer, was BOTD in 1947 & died too soon of breast cancer in 1997 at 50. Her 1984 breakthrough novel "Blood and Guts in High School" was banned in Germany & South Africa for its macabre, perverse content
Fuckin' love her. π€
Ugh π
jfc don't these people have anything better to do with their time and their money. This is beyond absurd at this point.
Apple design these? Cuz that deadass looks like an iPhone.
That's fair
I've heard about Thirty Love it's Heated Rivalry but make it tennis and/or what we all thought/wanted Challengers to be. Was it any good?
I've never seen it. I have an a aversion to really emotionally devastating movies (never seen Dancer in the Dark either) so been avoiding it but I do love Lynch and to be completist I feel like I need to own it.
And Elephant Man is back in print!
Heaven or Las Vegas by the Cocteau Twins
Yeah I cannot wrap my head around why anyone would think voting for a billionaire would in any way benefit them or make things better for the city.
Probably don't need one. As long as people don't shop there it'll go away soon enough.
As much as I love living here there are times when I feel a deep revulsion for this city.
It seems drivers lately have been speeding more, ignoring basic traffic laws and overall just being more aggressive and reckless.
So far season 3 of Euphoria is giving season 4 of Arrested Development vibes. It's been too long since the last season and it just feels off.
Three people at a dining table with a floral centerpiece. The woman on the left wears a black outfit and a red rose. The man in the center, wearing sunglasses and a gray t-shirt, is pouring a drink into a glass. The woman on the right, dressed in black, is smiling. Glasses and a platter of food are visible on the table.
