and wonderblocks in our EYFS and ks1. But I have never got round to mapping both barefoot and wonderblocks against it! Thank you 🙏

@b3ndavi3s.bsky.social @emmagoto.bsky.social Hope you have a great session at the @computingatschool.bsky.social conference tomorrow. So sad I can’t be there! If there is any chance of sharing of slides or resources afterwards I would be extremely grateful! I have a plan for using both barefoot >>>
This looks great. Have had a look through the website. I am definitely interested in seeing results from those leaders who are further on in their AI journey, perhaps already adopting and written into policy…
Who’s hiding under the ring for a sneaky entrance? 🤫
I'm running a little competition to give away one copy of my Science Fix book to my social media followers. All you need to do is follow this account, like and share this post. The winner will be chosen across all my social channels. Competition will close on 21st March and I'll announce the winner shortly after. Good luck!

Both things would be amazing. Our school adopting the NCCE curriculum so if you were looking at the other perhaps I can consider what might go in a mapping doc for schools using that curriculum 😊 thank you Emma and enjoy the party!
If not, something a few of us in schools and yourself @emmagoto.bsky.social could try and make a first draft for?
I was thinking exactly this - in case it had been thought of like the plan that came out to highlight each @numberblocks.bsky.social episode and content, e.g: www.ncetm.org.uk/media/tncbns...
It's half term, which means I have a copy of Primary Reading Simplified to give away.
Simply *repost* this post for your chance to win.
I will choose a winner at random this Saturday (22nd February).
Been really enjoying this with my children at home… can’t wait to plan to use it in EYFS/KS1 at school! #Wonderblocks is amazing!
Mate. I have the following image in my head on repeat! Keith wood throwing to the back of the line out, dashing round, getting the pop pass and dashing over the line! Because trying to beat England on emotion was our only chance!
Sorry, just recalled Mr Penguin (series) and Rabbit and Bear (series) for year 2. Perfect opportunities for wide ranging accents in reading.
Mr Penguin series probably one of my favourites to read as a teacher and parent!
.. but they realised (as Ireland’s call was played at volume 100) every time the rugby was on where the allegiances had to be. And to be fair, they have stuck with it! ☘️🇮🇪
Living in London since a v. Young kid in the 80s means I get asked why I don’t support England.
Won’t go into that, but my three kids can choose anything in any other sport. There’s spurs, man united, Liverpool fans in football, they follow England and England lionesses in footy (with no problem)..
✏️PENCILS AT THE READY, TEAM! In this brand new episode of #DrawWithRob we're drawing a cute AEROPLANE character ✈️! So grab some paper and something to draw with and let's do this! Remember to share your pictures using the #DrawWithRob hashtag. GOOD LUCK!

Can’t pick one!
Nursery: Dear Zoo, Room on the Broom
Reception: peace at last, hungry caterpillar, someone swallowed Stanley
Year 1: Traction Man, tadpoles promise, pirates next door
Year 2: sir scallywag and the golden underpants, George’s marvellous medicine
Can’t wait! ☘️ 🇮🇪 this day each year is the most important sporting fixture of the year for me. In any sport. Last year ruined March and some of April for me! @jarlathobrien.bsky.social is it the same for you?
Except it doesn’t really count as I’m happy to admit it openly. However, I don’t double or triple denim so not sure if it counts at all!
@jillberry102.bsky.social Hi Jill, hope you’re well. Nice to see you on here.
And then you have to work out how to say that one! 😅 I hear a different emphasis to the way I say and it confuses me!
Always been a parasaurolophus fan, even though difficult to say! All the armoured ones are cool like ankylosaurus. Stegosaurs are cool but this family is super interesting, kentrosaurus etc

If you asked a colleague what constituted cognitive load in professional learning could they answer in ordinary language?
Such as:
too much, too new, too fast, too transient, only once and, it must be admitted (though Sweller's not there yet) too boring.
Post somebody you've been told you look like who you definitely don't look like.
3.9.27 for next trebles day?
It’s doubles day.
6.12.24
How often does this happen? How many times in history has this happened? When will it happen next? What about trebles day? Or squares day? Or…?
By far the most powerful way to increase primary pupils' chances of becoming capable, confident mathematicians is to ensure they can rapidly recall single-digit addition facts (and their related subtraction facts) and multiplication facts up to 10x10 (and related division facts).
🪡⬇️
This is so critical. This is when I know pupils in my year 1 class are becoming extremely fluent with facts and related facts… “well I know 8 and 3 is 11 so 18 and 3 is the same…plus another 10.”
So much of maths is related and a solid base in these + and related - facts is so important!
I look forward to reading this Andrew. We also use this system and have seen improvements in both these areas as well.
I also find joy in helping children who are stuck or demonstrate a misconception, right then and there during the lesson! I recall extensive written marking distracting from that.
8 years ago we stopped writing comments in pupils' books and moved to whole class feedback. Teacher workload and pupil outcomes improved dramatically as a result. We have never looked back.
Very pleased to see our case study in @katejonesteach.bsky.social excellent new book.
