Hearing Stephen Lewis speak was extraordinary; the compassion, gravitas, authority, clarity, conviction, and truth akin to other greats like Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama, and Jane Goodall. An extraordinary Canadian who will be missed.

Congratulations and thanks to the research team, especially Paul Lutz, in bringing this all together! 3/3
Nature connectedness and size seem related but distinct, though largely overlap in predicting sustainability and well-being, where connectedness was typically a stronger predictor. 2/3

New paper: We compare subjective nature connectedness with perceptions of nature size relative to self size, and we correlate both with a variety of pro-environmental, mental health, prosocial, and personality measures. 1/3

Two new RCT articles out testing nature-based wellbeing interventions against the most popular Positive Psychology Intervention: 3 Good Things. In both studies, nature-based interventions boosted wb without spending more time in nature, & boosted unique aspects of wb.

Yes, we urgently need more trees here, and it seems like we are losing them faster than new ones are planted. @arieltroster.com

We are nature. So why aren't we more connected to it?
Dr. Holli-Anne Passmore, Dr. Loraine Lavallee, and Dr. Natalia Cooper appeared on The Signal with Adam Walsh on CBC in St. John's on June 12th, the first day of #CPA2025
See the whole fascinating discussion on YouTube:
It was a pleasure to speak with Dana Milbank for this story, and another pleasure to read about his recent nature experiences.

Over the weekend, we impounded a sheep that had been at large in the Osgoode area. Attempts to locate the owner have been unsuccessful thus far. If you are missing your sheep, please call 3-1-1. You will be required to provide a description of the animal. #OttCity
Do you know anyone who is missing a sheep?!?
