Staff who need accommodations, are they SEND?
When I am a headteacher, I will be intentional about nominating staff from across the school, in a range of roles, to attend SEND conferences, because building truly inclusive schools requires shared understanding, shared language and shared ownership.
That would be the moment we’d know something had truly shifted.
What if Inclusion wasn’t a role but a reality?
What if the children weren’t seen as SEND when support is needed? What if the support/ provision was rightly label as SEND? Afterall, that is what is different.
