A horror shader made in the godot game engine. It has blurred and distorted the environment, and replaced every texture with a distorted red haze broken up with blue grey dots.
People be making simple games and stuff in godot and I'm over here like "man what if my head exploded, that'd be cool" and turned it into a shader.

While having a tech literacy test is nice, it definitely doesn't stop negativity online. I've gotten to know a lot of people I wouldn't have the privilege of meeting if the internet was still gate kept by complicated setup. (also most negative spaces are from the early internet)
I can only imagine that whatever study this data comes from is pretty scuffed. How do you measure happiness? would people be inclined to lie so the way people perceive them doesn't change?

My hottest “I have no data to back this up” take is that phones aren’t making young people less happy. What’s making them less happy is living in a world where everyone is having their reality defined by recommendation algorithms that can only care about whether something keeps you watching.

I don't blame the artists for this. They can price their art however they want, since other people will pay for it. I can well imagine 20+ hours of labor into each piece which accounts for a livable wage
