Watched Akira last night, even sat in the cheap seats at the front it looked fantastic. So many of the smaller story beats I'd forgotten, but pacing, sound, story and visuals still hold up.

Just back from Akira in IMAX. Absolutely glorious. Audience stayed completely silent during the silent bits, outstanding stuff.

Yep I'm feeling the "get up and go" has "got up and fucked off' this weekend. I think we're conditioned that every waking minute has to be productive or good and it just makes everyone miserable. So, go for some low energy activities for the satisfaction of doing something or embrace goblin mode!

Well today is shaping up to be somewhat shit, folks are unwell, a disagreement with neighbour over hedge (they want to remove it) and general shenanigans. The only answer I can think of is disappear off to the cinema for Lee Cronin's The Mummy, two hours worth of horror should sort the world out.

Talk with parents about power of attorney early and act on it. Many delay this important step due perceived complexity and emotional ties, but for my family it provided peace of mind about future care.

Power of Attorney in the UK : If you're setting up one of these, the i would *STRONGLY* advise you not to list the parents as each others attorneys and the kids as replacement attorneys. Getting a replacement attorney activated is a completely fucked up process and takes *ages*.

I’d like to brag - two of my artworks are currently serving as background images on the official Dungeons & Dragons website. That's all, I'm just very excited about this. 😳

I had some people round for dinner last night, and I tried to impress them with a sauce created from vodka, gravy and nitrous oxide. But all I've done is make myself an absolut laughing stock.

Hard to motivate on a Sunday, bed too warm, and with the threat of rain I'm only considering Sunday lunch and the D&D session later. But maybe with caffeine inside I can get to the gym and worry the weights for a bit.

Evil Dead Rises was great, if the scares and kinetic gory gross violence match in The Mummy then it's going to be a hell of a horror ride.

Told my wife to have dinner ready at 6 or I'll obliterate her entire civilization.

So anyway, she now charges me a fee to use the bathroom that used to be free, and I didn't get any dinner, but I'm pretty sure I won that exchange.

First morning in a week where I haven't immediately taken ibuprofen to deal with back pain, there's an odd twinge but generally moving ok. Hopefully in a couple of days that will have cleared and I build back into the gym routine.

Well that's today's gym session, half of the exercises due to back still aching. With the motorbike off road I walked there and back so exceeded my steps goal. Guess that's a win then...

On your recommendation I've purchased Mortal Shell and just making the initial first tentative steps. Refreshing not to have a huge amount of lore dump through cinematics and just into the world.
