Looks like integers / 3 % with extra spacing the higher you go?
Maybe cause these are intended to be used with the scroll wheel and you want the same action at higher zoom percentages to have more impact?

good question but not quite. The dynamic mesh di let's us allocate and define meshes at runtime, so I'm actually writing the positions into the vertex buffer.

Render target + wpo would work just as well for this specific case though, I believe.
