The archival collaboration has also highlighted the role of Finnish journalist, poet, and performer Lempi Ikävalko in facilitating her longtime friend and correspondent Kaarle Hjalmar Lehtinen’s philanthropy.
Kaarle Hjalmar Lehtinen (1892–1995) immigrated to US from Finland in 1912. He was an entrepreneur and active in US-Finnish organizational life. A patron of Finnish-American research and culture, Lehtinen donated to both @infomigration.bsky.social & IHRCA in the 1980s.

Thank you @lottaleiwo.bsky.social for being part of the event and the process, overall 🩷
On Thursday I got to reflect on the past years of working on my "Deep Mapping the 'Uncharted Territories' of Finnish Migrant History" project with wonderful colleagues near and far. Without exaggeration, this project has changed my life. Thank you @koneensaatio.fi!

I had the pleasure of hosting a workshop for MA and PhD researchers working on Finnish North American topics as the final event of my @koneensaatio.fi project at @infomigration.bsky.social. Really great to build our research community.
Picture is too funny, had to participate. You've just died. 6th picture in your gallery is what killed you.
