Thousands of swans descend on Vanderhoof, bringing birdwatchers with them | CBC News Thousands of swans are flocking to Riverside Park in Vanderhoof, B.C., as part of their bi-annual migration, delighting local residents, birders, photographers and nature enthusiasts.

"But the swan population in the area hasn't always been so healthy. Trumpeter swans were once listed as an endangered species. In the 1930s, fewer than 70 wild birds were known to exist after they were over hunted for their white plumage."

The Land Holds Truth: Searching for Unmarked Graves at Indian Residential Schools After Tkʼemlúps te Secwépemc 2021 announcement, communities searched for missing children, using archaeology to shift from harm toward truth, healing, accountability, and justice.

ICYMI:

Il y a 200 ans : les débuts de la grande saignée.

Selon Albert Faucher, il semblerait « que l’émigration ait été l’événement majeur de l’histoire canadienne-française au XIXe siècle » (1961).
