Embroidery is painting with thread via stabbing something tens of thousands of times, and possibly tying uncountable knots. Embroidery is metal AF.
Fingers (gently) crossed for you! I rested for over a month and it was still owie after, so, PT @_@ Hoping for the best for you!
I made a TikTok account today! Which I will probably never use! But if you found me over there and that's how you found me here, hi, it's the same person, and I am terribad at social media. I'm better at making shinies.
I'm sure it'll be great! ^_^
Thanks! ^_^ The witchy aesthetic is high on my list of favorites ^_^
Sounds delightful ^_^ Welcome!
I just went through about a month and a half of physical therapy for my hand and wrist from knitting too much, fwiw I understand @_@
My first or second pair EVER were the "frameless" kind--the lenses had what was essentially fishing line in a channel around the outsides, instead of being inset into actual frames. But it's been a while since I've had that feature in my glasses. Gonna take a sec to get used to ^_^
We have a geriatric cat who is a puke machine and a younger cat who has *the thickest* fur of any shorthaired cat I've ever known, so she horks up hairballs a lot. I have been *very nervous* about my knitting projects sitting out. Which is to say, I relate and sympathize, and hope things clean ok!
Today is the day of new glasses.
The AC is *supposedly* getting fixed on Thursday, but we'll see ๐
Getting ready for an event this Saturday, held by Central Indiana Pagan Pride. New stitch markers, earrings, and necklaces will be on offer ^_^
Elements of this evening have been emotionally difficult. To add insult to injury, our AC is still broken.
God, if there weren't, I think a lot of us would just light things on fire instead of trying @_@
Me when I'm knitting: "Man, I love that I chose to pursue knitting professionally."
Me when I'm blocking: <regrets life choices>
So anyway, this is on my blocking mats overnight.
A client just picked up this gift set they commissioned to enter into a raffle. I'm super happy with how these pretties turned out ^_^
Hooray! I hope they can help you find something helpful ^_^
So I'm not a medical professional, and would strongly encourage you to seek their insight if you have access, but: There are wrist braces on the market made to limit/negate wrist flexion. Maybe some sort of appliance like that would help?

Sunday โค๏ธ With the best co-baker in the world.
Surprisingly, I have found zero i stances of anyone mentioning experiencing shards from their carbon fiber knitting needles.
Ok this Googling has led me to stumbling on somebody's blog where they talk about *making* carbon fiber needles by running carbon fiber rods through an old school hand-cranked pencil sharpener, and I don't know whether to be impressed or horrified.
Y'know, I have no idea. I should Google that. Thanks for the suggestion ^_^ Sometimes, I am le derp.
I don't know, but it caused me *physical pain*.
Right?! Who would DO this?! Especially on ***single ply***?!
For today's horror show, I give you: Some small business owner's idea for labeling yarn. AKA, packing tape, *directly on the single ply*. Why would anyone treat yarn this way. Get a goddamn rubber band. Or - here's a thought - THE YARN IS MADE OF STRING.
