Winter
and winter
and winter,
for how long
another
winter?
Andy Perrin, 2026
amidst winter
in minuscule moments
I see everything

One day in August
I’ll reach back longingly
to the anvil cold and lambent
moonlight on deep February snow
but today, I do wish for the sultry
sweet subtle scents of summer.

Thanks a million, Peter!
winter thrummed
is thrumming will
thrum thrum thrum
until it snows and
reds are more red

winter is drawn
obfuscating our days
in dreamscapes

The old oaks quivered
in the nor’easter’s wailing.
Bits fell in the scrum, but
quiet returned in stillness
and the roots, deep roots,
held fast during the storm.

Twas a minute past seven,
I was already late,
my bicycle didn’t mind.
My gears were grinding,
the slightest drizzle
glazed oaks and roads.
Some days I ride the same
stretches my dad rode,
wondering where he stopped
to notice these small things.
