Let Courtois take over and play the kids, this season is a write off. Also make Bez an offer he can’t refuse. #Crew96

There's a guy in our neighborhood who walks around with what looks like a very well trained but unleashed Doberman. As someone with small kids it is always disconcerting.

John Hodgman's definition is that a sandwich has bread can be cut in half for sharing/saving for later. So by that definition a Samosa is not a sandwich. I'd say it is in the dumpling family.

ICE caused a u-12 soccer game to be cancelled because families were justifiably afraid of the secret police

ICE caused a u-12 soccer game to be cancelled because families were justifiably afraid of the secret police

My son’s final game of a soccer tournament this morning was cancelled this morning because of increasing ICE activity in Nashville.

I cannot wait for all the people that caused this to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It's great to see the Art Modell Law potentially going national.

FWIW when he was an Austin city council member, Casar voted to provide public land to Anthony Precourt so he could move the Columbus Crew to Austin. I'm glad he learned a lesson from that.

My wife and I were just discussing this with our soccer obsessed son a few days ago in the context of what she did as a med student . This is a perfect illustration of it for him.

Schematic of MRI knee coil

Schematic of MRI knee coil

Maybe they do something different in Madrid, but usually you have a coil that goes around a specific body part to get higher quality images of that part of the body. So they likely would have put the wrong knee in the coil.

Dads out here need an EV/PHEV minivan that doesn't suck, though.

It took me a sec, but the xG dashboard is back for 2026!

For those who weren't here last season, the dashboard uses @jamonm.bsky.social & @carloncarpenter.bsky.social's WGCF principles to break down MLS shots.

Built using @americansocceranalysis.com data.

So that insane home advantage didn't survive week 3 of the 2026 MLS season (46th percentile now).

Is Celantano moving in the summer? Seems to be the only way this makes sense.

And this assumes shootouts did not happen.

Adding in all MLS games, 2026 has the highest home advantage to start a season - just edging out 1997 and 2000.

I pulled some data via @americansocceranalysis.com's {itscalledsoccer} and while home advantage has never started out so high in an MLS season since 2013, it is not quite the highest ever (only 98.41 percentile).

I suspect this is an aberration and it will bounce around just like it always has.
