Fans can stop guessing how #FCCincy leadership feels about the team's rocky start to the season. Co-CEO Jeff Berding gave me a few minutes on that topic this week, which you can hear in full on the latest Queen City Press Podcast Preview Show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.

Does anyone the think it's weird that we're (Seattle Mariners) doing the 50th anniversary with only 49 counting seasons?

Reminder: Georgi is the reigning, defending Cutbacks King of MLS.

The cover for Uncanny Magazine Issue 62, “Mermay - Golden Hour" by Maxine Vee: In a forest of brown, orange, and golden leaves, a mermaid with orange/gold hair sits on a rock in a small light blue pond. She stares at her open palms, illuminated by a beam of sunlight. Purple flowers in shade lie scattered on the ground in the foreground. The quote reads: "Hence, a watchseed, with the best of intentions. Let’s give the seed-planters that much. They mean well. Crawling from star to star at not-quite-c, they make their surveys, consult their charts, launch a seed now and then. Old thinkers, they make an endless circuit of the galaxy on behalf of young thinkers."

Jeremiah had estimated that the Sounders still have ~$3.85M GAM that they can convert/acquire from previous moves that they could use. This puts them at ~$5.85M, plus takes ~$300k in cap hit off from Georgi’s budget charge.

Some of that could be used to make Petkovic’s move permanent, potentially

As always @tombogert.bsky.social with the accurate info. I can also confirm that #Sounders is holding on to a sell on fee for Georgi Minoungou although it is less than the usual 15%.

It is also important to add that the $2M in GAM is a club record and has escalators beyond that amount.

Is this Mexico's most soccer-obsessed city? | Football Cities World Cup Travel Guide Ep 2: Monterrey YouTube video by JonArnoldFC

It's out! The second episode of Football Cities is live.

I went to Monterrey to explore the rivalry between Tigres & Rayados, let you know how to get to the gleaming Estadio BBVA, &, of course, show you the best tacos, coffee & activities the Sultana del Norte has to offer. youtu.be/v93pQ9sWW_8?...

I mean, that's also because they sustain two massive injuries along the way. It wasn't just "they played bad" it was that they just couldn't recover and get healthy the rest of the way.

So many uninteresting match-ups this week in MLS. I feel like the main story following last week and the latest round of CCC games is how teams recover from their mid-week game.

Honestly, I might be reading into things here but it feels like there is a lot more here than just a simple coaching change. 3 games?

Not only that they seem to only win when they're not doing the underlyings and they seem to lose when they actual do the underlyings. EFFFFFFFFFFF.

I was looking forward, in concacaf champions cup, to watching LA Galaxy face off against Mount Pleasant Academy, from Jamaica…

But it turns out like 10 of the latter’s players were denied entry, bc they are of Haitian origin, and travel ban.

I swear to god…
