Incredible to put reports out like this and decry the lack of progress for women in the workforce while simultaneously working 24/7 to kill Preschool for All.

Wait, did I say incredible? Oops, I meant SHAMEFUL.

1/2. He took the greatest military force in history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, & demanded the media lie about this & everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone mistakes this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength.

This is astonishing—a rhetoric steeped so deeply in New York's ethnic history, in grass-roots urban progressivism, in the immigrant experience in the United States.

It's not "you should be in solidarity with others," it's "you always have been, we all always have been."

Must be painful to acknowledge the facts here

Stuck in an hours-long security line at the airport?

It’s because Senate Republicans blocked Democrats’ bill to fund DHS agencies that don’t conduct immigration enforcement, like TSA.

That’s how dead set they are on allowing ICE to keep terrorizing communities with impunity. Remember this.

Meta paid an effective fed tax rate of 3.5% on its latest tax bill — its lowest on record.

Mark Zuckerberg's net worth just hit $222 billion.

And Meta is pumping $65 million into elections this year to boost AI friendly candidates.

Now it's reportedly planning to lay off 15,000 workers.

Freeway expansions value-engineered out of Interstate Bridge Replacement project, for now The bike paths made the cut!

"...project officials have finally relented and have decided to right-size the project in the way dozens of environmental and social justice organizations in the Just Crossing Alliance have been encouraging them to do for years now." - @bikeportland.org

Reminder: DHS nominee Markwayne Mullin is one of the most active stock-traders in the Senate — and violated the STOCK Act against insider trading as recently as last August.

He currently holds stock in L3Harris, which has millions in contracts with ICE and FEMA.

The grift continues.

Right now, unfolding around us on a global scale, is a rich and unambiguous lesson on the dangers of fossil fuel dependence. The most obvious solution is for the affected countries to reduce their dependence through clean energy.

Are you seeing that message in media?

8 if you count the invasion of L.A, Portland, Minneapolis -- not bombing in the traditional sense, of course. But nothing is traditional at the moment.

I started getting followed on my way home from an anti-war rally by a guy who was filming me so I assumed he was a right wing agitator and then he was a revoke person…demanding I answer why I support keeping the building open (I’ve never given a statement either way bc it’s a quasi judicial matter)

Isn’t it funny how the ‘Department of Defense’ is now the ‘Department of War,’ yet we still call companies ‘defense contractors’ because it sounds better for Congress to justify funding. Language shapes perception. Meanwhile, these companies are making billions supplying weapons of war. 🔄

You can see the corporate stooges salivating over the possibility that their 6+ year plan to raid PCEF might finally bear fruit.

Anyway, if you think we should use the climate justice fund for climate justice, you should speak up!

A deal has come together that would allow Oregon to purchase Abiqua Falls and 200 acres of surrounding forest for a new park, in a bill being considered this week by the legislature.

The deal includes an agreement with Mt. Angel Abbey that put the falls up for sale: tinyurl.com/4fufhm7n

The Oregon Legislature is moving toward imposing a 1-year moratorium on major new tax breaks for data centers.

This is a big, surprising reversal. Gov. Kotek had been pushing to expand data center inventives.

The costs of this Iran war debacle will likely be more than the cost of extending the ACA health insurance subsidies.

If you asked Americans, which do you want: another war in the Middle East or lower health care costs at home, is the margin 90 to 10? 95 to 5?

It’s pretty disturbing to me that #waleg has effectively decided to allow unregulated robotaxis into Washington, instead of taking a proactive approach and establishing reasonable regional caps, giving UTC rulemaking authority, and disallowing entry for unproven technologies (i.e. Tesla).
