I embarrassingly colour code everything in my diary and carry a nerd pack with me in order to update things
All our sympathies!
Yay, @wikipedia.org!

Screenshot of AI check claiming a text was ai generated.
AI text checkers are NOT reliable! I ran a review I wrote yesterday - 100% me, in my words, my own style, very typically "me", untouched by AI. A checker tells me that my text was '96% likely' to have been written by AI. Bad enough writers are using AI, but even worse to be unjustly accused of it.
Not now, Cold Blob

A stray orange cat in Thailand moved into a bar. The owners got him a QR code so that customers can buy him food and cat treats.
"We're really interested in anything that's rude, that's a bit naughty, that might be counted as a swear word or a phrase"
Can you help build the UK Swear Map?

And it’s good night from him…
There already was an ambassador. And she was competent and popular
Perhaps someone with knowledge of Chinese can weigh in here: there's a proverb that goes (more or less):
If you want to be happy for a day, get drunk;
for a year, get married;
for the rest of your life, start a garden.
It's being attributed as Dutch, but I think it is Chinese. Am I right?
Proud to provide living proof
At last some essential sociopolitical content on this site
This is the crucial content we come here for
A glass of wine in the evening reduces the effects, and provides an excuse!
Not short term but thankfully a much lower dose than Self is taking. Still horrible side effects though.
I spent a few days in Albania last week visiting several universities. I really like this part of my job: Seeing how higher education works in other countries and meeting people who shape the system.
