Living in an ingredient household can be a real pisser when you just want to eat now. But lunch was a delicious combo: potato, egg, tomato, cheddar, onion. From the freezer I unearthed thanksgiving turkey pieces and asked AI for recipe ideas. Smoked turkey and white bean soup — easy peasy!

A good sign that you work from home is that you too have daytime and nighttime slippers.

I told 2 young solicitors from Verizon yesterday that I don’t know how much our monthly internet bill is nor what it covers (this is true). But when they asked who does and I had to say “my husband but he can’t come to the door now” I felt so dirty and ashamed. Even tho I handle many other things!

I made a bag this weekend! It’s a SewCanShe pattern that I’ve used twice now. Every element came from my own ridiculous sewing stash. 😂 #sewing #sewsky

I’m even more in love with the fabric! And I think it looks great as it is. But would it be too much trouble to take any of it out? Because if it is, I think you shouldn’t bother. But that’s just me.

The fabric is so pretty! Can you post another photo of what it looks like without you holding onto the skirt?

I read today that Christopher Walken has never had a cell phone or sent an email. Amazing! It used to be I would have judged him and laughed at him for that but not now.

What would not being on social media at all look like (she asks on a social media platform HA)? For real. Could you do it? Would you? what would you miss the most?

What I love on Instagram is all the people I follow who sew. I have learned an incredible amount from those people and I am inspired by them on a daily basis. A couple of them have moved over here, but it’s not going to be the same. (con’t)

I’ve already greatly pulled back from Facebook because most of it is ads, but I moderate a huge Buy Nothing spinoff group that I don’t want to abandon. Could I enforce only going on Facebook once a day? And if so, at what time? Because 8am is probably not it. (con’t)

See, the problem is that for the last however many years, my morning routine has been to scroll through Instagram and Facebook while I eat my breakfast and everything is just about the world being on fire and it’s not a great way to start the day. (con’t)

I’m thinking I might do the same. I’ve come to love my sewing community on Instagram and hope to find something similar here.

Aaaaiiieeee I’ve got first post fear! Where to start? And I have questions that probably can’t be answered. Is this going to function as the new Twitter? I haven’t used Twitter in so long, I don’t even remember how I did it.
