I absolutely adore Mercedes but imo it isn't like the rest of the roster is getting huge chances and blowing it, esp with Toni out. Mercedes merits the level of investment she receives but I think TK chronically underinvests in a lot of the women's roster and that's a barrier for them

I think the Wembley moment was a mistake but it's also why I think anybody who is like "AEW fumbled her" has their brain screwed in backwards or something

AEW really wanted it to work and really invested in it - even when a lot of fans weren't on board - but at the end of the day it wasn't a good fit, and that is okayyyyy

Based on interviews and podcasts, she asked for a lot of that time. Giving talent the flexibility to step away is good. I‘m having trouble seeing how a company that licensed queen to gave her a world title win at Wembley and gave her brother a job could possibly be framed as unsupportive

It felt like a big, intimidating chore when I had to research and go shopping for every item, but it gets easier! The main thing I still have to practice is letting go when it's no longer possible to fix and "promoting it to fabric" 😅

After a couple of years of really focusing on mending my clothes, I've both picked up skills to assess the best way to fix a problem and the materials to do so, stored handily enough that I'll actually do it from time to time. Rescuing unwearable garments feels good!
