That actually sounds reasonable. Wish you the best on your journey! I am vocal because I don't want other people to do the same mistakes I have done due to lack of knowledge 🫣

Watched this great documentary with @mars.squirrel.pub by James Cameron, which explains the current situation and what's going on in the world.

Caloric deficit by cutting carbs is the way there. If they suggest anything else than a variation of that - validate. If you just cut calories your metabolism and recovery suffers, so going to gym just damages without repair. This is why I don't go to gym just yet, to avoid catabolism of muscle.

Great! Be mindful and critical towards dietary advice from PT. I followed mine reasonable sounding "common sense" diet advice, and it wrecked my metabolism and took 4 years and 20kg of weight gain to recover from it. Trying to bulk on deficit is harmful.

One phase of my life is behind me: 2025 financial reports for my company are done. Also the start of phase 3 of my cutting programme, I cand have carbs again. Going out to eat tomorrow with friends, feels nice.

Masculine urge to get a paragliding license

I literally have avoided taking commissions because the paperwork that follows. Now with some automations, that shouldn't be an issue anymore. Double entry bookkeeping can be labor intensive if you do it manually with open source software.

Day 5 of making automations that do data entry and doing manual data entry plus validating. Everything from last year has been entered into my company books, and the accounts match. Tomorrow I can start doing the financial reports and file my LLC's taxes. #AccountantLyfe

So far my data sets have been so small and consistent that there hasn't been any errors. But ye, gotta add some. Worst so far was that I generated the QIF-file with wrong sign, so all my amazon purchases got entered into books as revenue 🀑

AirTag Teardown: Yeah, This Tracks What’s inside Apple’s new tracker? A replaceable battery, a surprising speaker, and just enough room for a keyhole. See what else we found in our teardown!

I don't know the point of putting an AirTag in your bike, it makes a noise when moved, anybody stealing it will just remove the tracker. Lucky they are easy to hack: just de-solder the voice-coil from the PCB though the case. Completely silent AirTag with its IP rating intact!

I will be diagnosed with cancer, it's inevitable. But when I get that diagnosis is up to me. I choose to live in a way that postpones it as long as possible. Human cells just have this terminal bug... and I plan to keep it from triggering.

Took 41 days, got to my lowest point within a year. About half the cut still left. In this controlled state its funny how clearly the creatine loading shows on weight graph. Looks like I am holding about 1500kcal deficit and burning 171 g of body fat per day.

I have a hunch I will be depreciating the toilet paper in the books over 3 years...

Next step: feed my Amazon Business account yearly data dump into an AI workflow and let it figure out whether toilet paper rolls count as office supplies πŸ˜† Why commit tax fraud manually when a machine can do it faster?

Which reminds me, I also have a Ko-fi! If you want to support my shift to reduced work hours so I can get back to streaming and making YouTube videos, all support is very welcome. Ko-fi has really low fees and I actually get what you pay for. ko-fi.com/nerdaxic

Spent most of the day building a workflow in #n8n. It pulls all my #KoFi and #Gumroad payments from the Stripe API, handles the account categorization, and exports everything as a clean QIF file. Makes importing the whole financial year into my accounting software just a few clicks without AI.

To me it was really surprising that the camera sensor just worked out of the box. I can't recall that ever happening in VRChat. Literally never used it before except for one tech demo!

Was tinkering in #Resonite, figuring out why my controller was acting weird. Turns out it ran out of battery, but the #Ultraleap module built in to my headset just took over smoothly on its own. Turns out it has much more freedom than Index controllers :D Spent like 30 min staring at hand...

Would you be interested: Online service, where you pay 200-300 €, receive refurbished and tested Index Controllers in the mail. Pack your broken ones in the box and return for a partial refund. New joysticks and new batteries, replaced with zero downtime, maybe around 120€.

Just got official instructions from Varjo: I can sell my XR-3 headset outright. The non-subscription license is permanently tied to the device itself, not my account. If you’re looking for the absolute best headset for flight simming, this is it. Serious buyers only, DM me! #FlightSim #VarjoXR3 #XR

I've been tinkering with my bedroom temperature and seeing how it it effects my sleep quality. I automated my way out of a cold bedroom. Home Assistant runs a "temp playlist" all night: warm at bedtime β†’ 18Β°C for deep sleep β†’ warm by morning. Same science, zero suffering.

Hmm. Looks like I fried the USB controller of the multi-toolhead board of the 3D printer. All it took was to plug in the toolhead while powered with no load, probably due to missing ground reference while plugging.
