Our final leg in this Victorian adventure takes the Aerovan from Great Lakes to Mount Hotham. Climb needed was pushing the piston engine to its limit, only 400fpm if the airspeed was not to drop into stall territory! Cruise speed was under 100knots throughout. #MSFS2024 #FlightSim #Aviation #AVGeek

The next leg in the Gipps Aerovan is from Latrobe eastwards to Great Lakes on the Victoria coast. I don't know this part of the world at all and the scenery was very attractive, ideal for a (very) slow and low flight. #MSFS2024 #FlightSim #Aviation #AVGeek

This first flight is from Melbourne Essendon to Latrobe Valley in Victoria, home of Gipps and where Aerovan production is based. I used it as an OnAir flight, which for the first time seemed to go smoothly. #MSFS2024 #FlightSim #Aviation #AVGeek

I spotted that SWS have a 50% off sale at present, so I picked up their Gipps GA8 Aerovan, an Australian built small aerial "ute". It's good fun, a bit like a Kodiak 100 but much cheaper running costs. Just don't use it if you are in a hurry to get somewhere! #MSFS2024 #FlightSim #Aviation #AVGeek
