I think it's time we're honest.
This is too far and crosses the line.

"Oh, no, never in Connecticut. It's an Albany thing."
Me, personally, I can't stop laughing at the "Australian" version.

Happy 30th anniversary to the sketch that launched a thousand memes, and a thousand more remixes: “Steamed Hams.” 🍔

Since Donald Trump is so angry at (checks notes)… the Pope, for being a (checks notes again)… *advocate for peace* (🙃), here’s a potential Trump-approved replacement:

Babe, wake up! New "Stupidest headline ever" just dropped.
I wouldn’t have put a lunatic narcissist susceptible to coercion through flattery in charge of nuclear weapons, and then surrounded him with countless members of an evangelical Christian death cult who think bombing the Middle East will bring about the return of their messiah. But that’s just me.
This is the track I will be listening to as the nuclear apocalypse begins:

Good choice.
Kurt Russell as Snake Plisken dropping the line "Get a new president."
Once again, Snake Plisken is on point.
Earth appearing as a bright crescent behind the Moon’s surface
OH. MY. GOD.
THIS IS THE EARTHSET PHOTO FROM ARTEMIS II. IM SPEECHLESS.
Earth behind the Moon
Awesome image from Artemis.
Big!
No amount of money can buy advertising like that.
I look at the unfathomable beauty and majesty of this image, realizing it contains basically the entirety of our collective existence, and I get so sad knowing that humans are *still* killing each other over tiny scraps of land, or which imaginary deity they prey to, on this tiny spec in the cosmos.

That’s not a high bar to clear.
Red Letter Media did a great review of this bonkers film. It ends with a line that sums it up nicely:
“And Dan Aykroyd… never… directed… a movie… again.”

Lately I find myself experiencing nostalgia for a very short and specific era of time, right at the turn of the millennium.
I had just gotten my drivers license and figured out how to burn CDs, 9/11 had not yet happened, and every movie had “All Star” by Smashmouth on the soundtrack.
Life was good.
'Project Hail Mary' is such an entertaining, thrilling and emotional filmgoing experience, it's making me wonder if the Lucasfilm execs are collectively kicking themselves for firing Lord and Miller from 'Solo: A Star Wars Story'.

You know how in a library no one’s trying to sell you anything?
That’s how the internet was.
What it's like to be a self-employed creative person:
Oh man, you don’t even want to know what I’m gonna post when *you* die. 😏
Loved #ProjectHailMary. ❤️ What a fantastic movie! Just as good as the book. And thank you Lord and Miller for *not* putting the obvious, clichéd choice of “Rocketman” in the film’s soundtrack. Was bracing myself for it, but I knew you guys were better than that.
I can't decide if Sam Altman looks more like Ron Perlman's wimpy younger brother, or more like if young Tom Waits gave up on music and went to business school.
Either way, he's definitely an evil douchebag.
Happy Friday. It is worth pointing out once again that the United States is the only industrialized nation without some form of universal healthcare. But we seem to have endless taxpayer money for this. Imagine if we used this money to help people instead of hurt them?
