Sadly I feel like I have to when someone took it badly I merely unfollowed them quietly.

Never stopped talking to them, still liked the odd post of them that does come up. Still interacted on telegram.

I didn't say anything because I thought we were adults and didn't want drama. 😔

Some folks don't get it but think of it as this:

If someone in your past -really- hurt you, would you keep their photo up in your home? To be seen on a regular basis?

Curating your own social media feed is really no different.

It's practicing good mental health.

That doesn't mean we are no longer friends, nor that I don't want to talk to you or hang out.

I just don't want to keep seeing certain people on my socials. That's all it is.

If you tie friendship to social media following then that's a you problem tbf
