I think money is less important here than a focused campaign, which is why I’d prefer the national party to stay out. If Senator Schumer and Minority Leader Jeffries are dictating the Peltola campaign, Senator Sullivan will win 64% of the vote. If the “left” has a say, Mary will win 54/46.

Senator Schumer is no longer an effictive leader of the opposition, nor a proper advocate for the future direction of the left, or the center. His time has past. National Democrats should stop attempting to reframe Clinton era politics onto the left. Neoliberalism has failed.
We have ranked choice voting and more chances to meet the candidate than most places. After seeing how national Democrats comported themselves during the Texas primary, and now the Maine primary, I think they should sit Alaska’s election out and focus on other elections (they also don’t vote in.)
Mary Peltola is awesome, and I intend to vote for her. Not sure what to make of lower 48 Dems who don’t live or vote here projecting liberal fantasies about her actual politics. She’s a conservative Democrat, and that’s OK!
