For quite a large portion of my life, crying was very difficult. But recently, Cav has been a lot more open about her emotions. The walls are down, so to speak. There is a desire to be vulnerable and honest.
Joy and laughter come much easier. Crying does, too.

A raccoon, through the most exercise she'd gotten in months, cornered a borrower in her basement bedroom. "Gotcha! Nowโ Wait, what do you have?" she asked of the dusty gray fluff bundled in tiny hands.
The small one stammered, "B-bedding? Your fur's soft!"
"Ugh... I gotta vacuum more..."
