Are the stairs meant to circumvent the flooding? And there to stay, you think? It floods every year there, no?
Near one of your favourite spots. It won’t be passable soon.

Mer bleue boardwalk
Le vélo comme baume au cœur. Merci, vélo.
Cycling as soul therapy. Thank goodness for my bike.
Le vélopartage à Ottawa, c’est maintenant!
Notre réseau de transport en commun est en crise. Le vélopartage peut changer la donne! Le quart des déplacements fait moins de 2 km — une distance qu’on parcourt facilement à vélo. 1/2
Ottawa Bike Share Poster

Thank you.
Done. Go enjoy. 😉
Huge potholes under water taking the whole width of a painted bike lane, making it not passable
Bonjour Ottawa. Good morning.
#autowa
Wait for it.
🤣🤣🤣
Bike locked to a sign post with a sea of parked cars in the background
Tell me you only care about one mode of transportation without telling me you only care about one mode of transportation.
Trainyards, Ottawa. There were no bike racks in sight. #autowa
If our elected officials cared about the safety of people outside of cars, starting with kids, we wouldn’t need crossing guards. Our streets would be safe regardless of human error.
But here we are. A crossing guard lost their life on duty. We should all be outraged.1/3

Photos of Bike Ottawa board members during media training, at the bike rack with their bikes then riding on a snow covered road
What better thing to do on a Sunday afternoon than ride in a snow storm, do some board media training and ride home on snowy roads. ❄️
Always good to learn how to better communicate and get our point across. 🎤
50+ MPs contacted! 🇨🇦 A massive thank you to the cycling community for stepping up.
We need one final push to protect the $500M Active Transportation Fund for the 2026 season. If you haven’t emailed your MP yet, please do so by Friday! 🚲 (1/2)
Happy to see women recognized for their expertise and contributions towards better cities.
Very proud of our own Cassie Smith, VP + founder of Kidical Mass Ottawa.
Hats off to Koko Agborsangaya (Black Girls Biking NCR), Jill Wiggle (CAWI) in Ottawa & a wink to Rebecca Denley in Yellowknife (hi!).
When you don’t have heat at home and you’re told it won’t get fixed till tomorrow… you go for a bike ride to warm up and enjoy… the +14 sunny weather.
Not that I need an excuse for a bike ride. 🙂
How was the ice today? I’d like to go one last time. But I worry about the condition. I’m not the best skater.
Screen capture of the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee members, including the Bike Ottawa representative.
On February 26, 2026, Bike Ottawa delegated at the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee on the topic or right turns on red (link to video in post).
We encourage you to watch all the other delegations who had compelling arguments, data, and personal stories.

🤣🤣🤣
Cyclists and pedestrians waiting at their respective crossride and crosswalk on a red light. Towards the top left, one can see a sign banning right turns on red.
As people outside of cars, we’ve all been at the receiving end of right turns on red. How many near misses have you experienced or witnessed as a result? Yet City staff recommends against a blanket ban of right on reds.
Oppose their recommendation. Take action now! 👇

Bike rack mostly buried in snow. A bike is locked to it. Both wheels are had buried in snow as well.
Tonight’s bike rack at Théâtre de l’île, Gatineau. Rode there and back mostly on sidewalks (powder or hard packed) for safety purposes. Too much slush on roads and not safe for anyone.
