Fun back and forth between myself, @jamesandstuff.bsky.social and @edwinet.bsky.social about Pragmata's hacking gameplay

This article both contains the phrase "fuck the robot" and a Lumines reference, which means you should read it

For this #RandomGameSaturday, I reached into our Mega Drive game drawers and unearthed the Japanese release of Vermilion aka Sword of Vermilion.

What a gorgeous piece of artwork by Hiroaki Shioya. Very Souls/Elden Ring.

Been playing Final Fantasy XII and got to the part where you meet Reddas last night; sincerely wish this series featured more baldies because on the very rare occasions that they do, they bring us some top tier characters

Loving the killer character designs of this game. City of Espers is gonna burn the house down, so keep an eye on Nathan's feed for more previews!

Oh nice! Mappa Mundi AND City of Espers are being run at @euphoriaap.bsky.social con!

That's a good showing for Three Sails. Nearly three for three.

And @pixelgrotto.bsky.social and I are on panels, too.

Check it out!

It’s rare that a comic makes me want to step up my own writing game, but Dark Patterns is a BOOK. I waited until all 12 issues were out before reading this and am glad I did. The best Scarface story in years lies within these pages, along with some really thought-provoking takes on modern mythology.

A cozy home living room decked in green and orange with prints on the wall and floor and a television displaying the Artemis II as it returns to the big blue and green marble known as Earth. Also the head of a chonky French Bulldog is visible as it lies across my legs.

Watching Artemis II touch home last night. Feels like ‘80s Space Camp vibes all over again. 50 years late but we back up amongst the stars again

I was one of those folks who was very skeptical of Absolute Batman when it was first announced, but have since had to eat crow and admit that this book is raw as hell and yes, I do want a Robin mecha army

a hand in a blue glove is holding a coin that says ' l.a. ' on it Alt: Two-Face flips his coin up into the air, catching it with his scarred hand in this scene from Batman: The Animated Series

I appreciate my nephew’s views on Batman villains: “Everyone only thinks of the Joker, but I like Two-Face more because it wasn’t his fault he got hurt and went bad”

QRPing this comment because it is such a nice compliment. This is about Pathfinder Lost Omens: Tian Xia World Guide. The freelance writers are largely responsible for this, btw. They earned that ENNIE a hundred times over.

in all seriousness, one of the coolest parts of an emulation handheld is that i can collect an entire franchise like bof in a single folder across 4 different platforms. even if there aren't any more, these 5 are fantastic.

"lena, what about" five games. there's only five games.

The Super Famicom version of Prince of Persia, featuring an awesomely illustrated box showing an Arabian Nights warrior raising his scimitar around an array of other fantastical characters, including a veiled vizier, a princess, a busty harem woman, a muscular guard, and a skeleton with a fiery sword. Price is £65.

At least some sick Katsuya Terada box art is relatively affordable. (Alas, I did not buy this as I have no Super Famicom at the moment and did not want to pay for what would amount to an expensive bookshelf decoration…but I came close)

A selection of overpriced Game Boy Advance games, with most falling into the £100 to £200 plus range

Went to the London Retro Gaming Market and spent most of the time being depressed at the price of Game Boy games. Look at this shite. Yes I too would love a PAL copy of Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure (one of the best Dragon Ball games ever made) but not enough to pay £250 for it

Played this as a kid and it was one of my first CRPGs, as well as an intro to Bakshi’s LOTR.

Members of the Fellowship can forever die and it deviates from the books halfway through. In my game I think Legolas and Merry were killed in Moria? Radagast also became a party member. Wild game
