Hikes are worth it, but I never enjoy wet socks. Next week looks drier though

I saw some nice water today. Wasn't gonna upload coz the pics didn't have the "holy clarity" that raw eyes conveyed

Two sunken, mossy rocks form a divide in the centre of theh image. To the left of the rocks is an aminita muscaria, and to the right a young fern spreads

I recently discovered the ecstacy of wrapping a small handful of peanut mnms in a dried mango slice as a trail snack, these rocks are great

Following the shared cycleway today has made the trip to the trailhead about 10k longer than expected

In an oblong inset aside the road, a white door is set behind and between two white bollards. The left bollard is lent upon by a third, uprooted. The door is set in a stone brick retaining wall, with similar embankments making the left and right sides of the rectangle. Above the construction greenery abounds from trees to ground cover. The flora flows fountaining upwards, cascading over the stonework to the left of the door, crashing against it to slowly seep towards the ground on the right. A greener shade of stormpswept sea

We struggle with kina barrens in nz, between weather based overflows and mayors wanting to dump half-processed sewage to stop smell complaints, that potential for viable coprophagia is unsettling :(
